BORN HULL 1894. SON OF SARAH HEPTON ,AT 13, HANNAH’S TERRACE, ST PAULS STREET, HULL.
HE HAD JOINED THE ARMY IN 1911 & BEFORE THE WAR WORKED AS A HULL CORPORATION ROAD SWEEPER (HEALTH DEPT.).
HE WAS 22 YEAR OLD WHEN HE DIED OF WOUNDS. IT WAS REPORTED THAT HE TAMPERED WITH GERMAN SHELL. HE.DIED IN A BASE HOSPITAL IN FRANCE ON 4TH MARCH FROM WOUNDS, RECEIVED THE PREVIOUS DAY. HE LEFT A WIDOW & ONE CHILD AT 125 ST PAUL’S STREET. HE IS LISTED ON THE ST. PAUL’S STREET ROH (PUBLISHED IN THE HDM ON 09/09/1916).
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HDM ON 27/03/1916. *
