HE HAD ONE BROTHERS, JOHN HILL, WHO LIVED AT 49 REYNOLDSON STREET, HULL AND TWO SISTERS, MRS ALICE LOCK AND EDITH MARY PAUL. EMPLOYED AS A ENGINE DRIVER AND MARINE BOILER ATTENDANT. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 6 INCHES TALL, 35-37 INCH CHEST, 119 LBS WEIGHT.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL, ON 15/02/1917. POSTED TO FRANCE, ON 19/06/1918. SERVED AS A PIONEER, WITH THE 8TH DIVION, SIGNAL COMPANY, ROYAL ENGINEERS. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 12/10/1918, AGED 19. BURIED IN FRANCE. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER, THOMAS WATSON HULL.

HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE WW1 MEMORIAL AT ST JOHNS CHURCH, NEWLANDS, HULL
