BORN HULL 07/12/1889. SCULCOATES. SON OF EDWARD HONOUR & SARAH ELIZABETH TINSLEY, OF 64 GIBSON STREET, HULL. ONE OF EIGHT CHILDREN. HE HAD A BROTHER SERVING IN THE ARMY AND ANOTHER, IN THE NAVY.
HIS MOTHER DIED AND HIS FATHER REMARRIED MARY ANN HINDMARCH. IN 1911 THE FAMILY ARE LIVING IN DURHAM AND HENRY IS WORKING AS A COAL MINER. HE RETURNED TO HULL AND RESIDED AT 20 ROSE TERRACE, BARNSLEY STREET.
HE ENLISTED IN HULL. HE SERVED WITH THE 1ST KING’S OWN YORKSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY. WAS PROMOTED TO SERGEANT, AND KILLED AT YPRES, 08/05/1915, AGED 25. UNMARRIED HIS ARMY EFFECTS WENT TO HIS WIDOWED STEP MOTHER. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 12/07/1916. *
