HE MARRIED, RUTH ANN NAYLOR (1893-1933) IN 1911. THEY HAD A DAUGHTER WINIFRED HUNT (1893–1933) AND LIVED AT 19, BELMONT STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). EMPLOYED WITH HULL’S NORTH EASTERN RAILWAYS.
ENLISTED HULL.POSTED TO FRANCE ON 11TH MAY 1915. SERVED IN THE 50TH ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 05/11/1916, AGED 26. COMMEMORATED ON THE THIEPVAL MEMORIAL.
LISTED AS KILLED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, 16/12/1916. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE RETURNED TO HIS WIDOW, RUTH. SHE REMARRIED AND BECAME MRS RUTH ANN TYLER.
HIS OLDER BROTHER, PTE, ALBERT EDWARD HUNT, 10TH EYR WAS KILLED IN ACTION, ON 29/09/1918, AGED 31.
