BORN HULL 1892. SON OF JOHN HENRY HUNTER (1871-1950) & AMY MILSOM (1871-1941), OF 7, FILLINGHAM BUILDINGS, WILLIAM STREET, HULL (CWGC ADDRSS). SON OF A DOCK LABOURER. HE HAD TWO BROTHERS AND ONE SISTER, CLARA.

A BUTCHER’S ASSISTANT, LIVING AT 11, MIDGELEY TERRACE, BEAN STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS).

HE ENLISTED AT BEVERLEY. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 33522 EYR. TRANSFERRED TO THE 2/4TH KING’S OWN YORKSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 27/11/1917, AGED 25. COMMEMORATED ON THE CAMBRAI MEMORIAL, FRANCE.
