HE ENLISTED IN HORSFORTH, LEEDS. SERVED IN THE 1/6TH WEST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 09/10/1917, AGED 29.
HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE TYNE COT MEMORIAL, BELGIUM.
ALSO REMEMBERED ON THE WW1 MEMORIAL, AT ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH, NEWINGTON, HULL.
