HE HAD SIX BROTHERS AND THREE SISTERS. WORKED AS AN OIL MILLER, BOARDING AT 4, NEWTON’S COURT, ALDBRO STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS).
HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED WITH THE 13TH EYR (HULL PALS). TRANSFERRED TO THE 7TH EYR. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 12/05/1917, AGED 30. COMMEMORATED ON THE ARRAS MEMORIAL, FRANCE, TO THE MISSING.
