BORN HULL 1891. ENLISTED SWANSEA. SON OF JOSEPH & ELIZABETH INMAN, OF 11 AIREDALE TERRACE, STANIFORTH PLACE, HULL, 16, FLORENCE TERRACE, VILLA PLACE, HULL & GRANVILLE TERRACE, BEAN STREET, HULL. HE WAS PREVIOUSLY EMPLOYED IN THE NORTH EASTER RAILWAY, GOODS DEPARTMENT IN HULL & WAS AN EX MEMBER OF THE SWANSEA POLICE FORCE.
HE SERVED WITH THE 1ST WELSH GUARDS. WAS SEVERELY WOUNDED IN THE RIGHT THIGH AT THE BATTLE OF LOOS. DIED OF WOUNDS, 15/09/1918, AGED 29.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 9TH NOVEMBER 1915. *
