Born Thornaby-on-tees, 1898. Only son of David and Ada Jackson, of 38, Cobden St., Thornaby-on-Tees, and 219 Buckingham Street, Hull.
A single man, employed by Messrs, Hanger, Watson and Harris, Stoneferry, Hull.
He enlisted August 1915. Went to France, in May 1916. Served with the 13th Yorkshire Regiment. He had recently returned to the fron, from Home leave, in March 1918, when he was reported missing, presumed killed, on 22/03/1918, aged 20.
His death was reported in the Hull Daily Mail, on 16/07/1918. *
