BORN HULL 1886. SON OF WILLIAM B & HANNAH JACKSON, OF 70, SEATON STREET, FOUNTAIN ROAD, HULL. A WOOD WORKING MACHINIST, FOR MESSRS, HOLMES & MOORE, TERRY STREET, HULL.

HE LIVED WITH HIS WIFE, LIZZIE, AT 2 JOHNS TERRACE, WALCOTT STREET, HULL (ARMY ADDRESS) AND 10, WILLIAM TERRACE, WALCOTT STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). tHEY HAD FOUR CHILDREN, GEORGE, ALICE, DOROTHY AND JAMES.

HE HAD SERVED FOUR YEARS IN THE EAST YORKSHIRE TERRITORIALS. HE ENLISTED IN HULL, BEFORE THE WAR, ON 22/12/1913. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 4699 EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED AS PRIVATE, 224211, 244TH LABOUR CORPS. HE DIED WHILST A PRISONER OF WAR, ON 12/09/1918, AT DARCY MORTIERS. HE WAS AGED 32.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, LIZZIE AND FOUR CHILDREN. AWARDED A WEEKLY WAR PENSION OF 33/9.
