BORN HULL 1898. SON OF EDWARD THOMAS JEFFERSON AND ANNIE ELIZABETH TAYLOR. ONE OF NINE CHILDREN, SEVERAL OF WHICH DIED IN INFANCY. HE WORKED FOR THE IDEAL BOLIER AND RADIATOR COMPANY, HULL.
HE ENLISTED HULL. SERVED AS PTE. 52170, 699TH LABOUR CORPS. DIED OF PNEUMONIA AT CANTERBURY MILITARY HOSPITAL ON THE DAY THE WAY ENDED. HE WAS AGED 20. BURIED IN HULL WESTERN CEMETERY. ON HIS GRAVE ARE THE WORDS “PEACE SO NEAR, YET HE NEVER KNEW”
