Born Hull, 1882. Son of Charles Jessney (1854-1930) and Ann Elliott (1857-1936), of 46 Alexandra Street, Hull (1911 Census). Son of a Gas worker. One of twelve children.
Married Hannah Maria Widdowson (1883-1953), at Beverley, in 1903, aged 21. They had six children. A Gas Meter worker. He lived at 7, Josephine Terrace Bean Street Hull.
Served as Private, 17582, in the 1/5th Lincolnshire Regiment. Died in July 1915 (War Pension records). Received the British War Medal and Victory Medal. No CWGC records.
