BORN HULL 1889. THIRD SON OF HENRY KING & HANNAH MARSDEN (1851-1932), AT 24 , GORDON STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). SON OF A WOOD TURNER. HE HAD TWO OLDER BROTHERS, EDWARD AND HENRY AND THREE SISTERS. A SINGLE MAN. WORKED AS A JOINER.

HE ENLISTED IN BEVERLEY. SERVED WITH 1/5TH NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS. DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 26/10/1917, AGED 28.

COMMEMORATED AT THE TYNE COT MEMORIAL, BELGIUM.
