HE WAS A BANDSMAN AT THE HULL ICE HOUSE, WALKER STREET, HULL. LEFT HULL SEVEN YEARS AGO FOR CANADA. A SHIPPING PORTER.
HE ENLISTED IN CANADA. SERVED IN THE MEDICAL CORPS, WITH THE CANADIAN EXPEDITIONARY FORCE. ACCIDENTALLY DROWNED, ON 10/07/1917, AGED 42.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 20/07/1917. *
HE IS BURIED AT RAMSGATE CEMETERY, KENT. HIS GRAVE READS, “SUDDEN DEATH SUDDEN GLORY EVER IN THOUGHT”
