HE ENLISTED IN HULL ON 11/03/1912, AGED 21 YEARS AND 2 MONTHS.. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 10 INCHES TALL, 36 INCH CHEST. EX, PRIVATE, 1318 EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED TO THE 15TH DURHAM LIGHT INFANTRY. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 02/10/1917, AGED 26.
