BORN HULL 1894. FOURTH SON OF FRANCIS LEE (1865–1937) & HANNAH ELIZABETH PALING (1865-  ), OF 97, HODGSON STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS) AND 91, SPYVEE STREET, HULL (ARMY ADDRESS). HE HAD FOUR BROTHERS AND ONE ELDER SISTER.

HUSBAND OF EMILY TOMLINSON OF 4, WENTWORTH STREET, HULL (CWGC ADDRESS) AND 6, MARY ANN PLACE, ADELAIDE STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). A LABOURER.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS A GUNNER, IN THE 147TH ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY. DIED OF WOUNDS, AT NOTTINGHAM, ON 19/11/1918, AGED 23. HE IS BURIED AT HULL HEDON ROAD CEMETERY.

HUS BROTHER, HARRY SERVED WITH THE EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT AND MACHINE GUN CORPS, WAS WOUNDED ON 27/09/1917 AND AWARDED THE SILVER WAR BADGE ON DISCHARGE. HIS BROTHER, WALTER, SERVED IN THE ROYAL NAVAL RESERVE.
