HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED IN THE NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS. ACCIDENTALLY KILLED AT HORNSEA, ON 06/02/1919, AGED 22. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER, THOMAS. HE IS BURIED AT SIGGLESTHORNE (ST. LAURENCE) CHURCHYARD, YORKSHIRE.
HIS YOUNGER BROTHER, PRIVATE, JAMES WILLIAM LONDESBOROUGH, 8TH WEST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT, WAS KILLED AT PASSCHENDAELE, ON 09/10/1917, AGED 19. BOTH BROTHERS ARE COMMEMORATED ON THE SIGGLESTHORNE WW1 MEMORIAL, WHERE 75 MEN SERVED AND ELEVEN DIED IN WW1.
