Born Hull, 25 May 1878. Son of Robert Nothead Margrave and Mary Jane Cletherill (1851-1927). He had two brothers and three sisters.
A fisherman and Royal Naval reserve. Fell overboard and Drowned on the the Trawler “Sir Mark Sykes” whilst fishing off Iceland, on 08/12/1919, aged 41. His death was reported in the The Daily Mail 21 May 1920.
Married at St Paul’s, Hull in 1899. Husband of Bessey Sutcliffe (1881-1927) at 5, Kate’s Terrace, St Paul Street, Hull (war pension address). they had five children.
