Born Goole, 1893. Son of Robert John Lindley (1868-1898) and Lucy Arrand Lundberg (1869-1940), of 12, Cross Street Goole, (1911 census) and 2, Isabella Terrace, Howe Street, Hull (War pension address). Son of a Charwoman. Worked as an Errand Boy.
Enlisted Goole. Served in the 8th King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. Killed in action, on 01/07/1916, aged 22.
Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France. His army effects were left to his mother, Lucy.
