Born Boston Lincolnshire. 1892. Enlisted at Hounslow, Middlesex. Served with the 2nd East Surrey Regiment. Died of wounds, on 19 May 1915, aged 23. Buried in Belgium. His grave inscription reads, GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS
His army effects were left to his sister, Alice.
