BORN HULL 1887. SON OF PATRICK MCLOUGHLIN (1858-1901) AND ELIZABETH MCLOUGHLIN, AT 21 NORTH STREET, (OFF PROSPECT STREET), HULL. A LABOURER. HE HAD ENLISTED IN THE EAST YORKSHIRE TERRITORIALS IN 1912, AGED 25. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 3.5 INCHES TALL, 140LBS WEIGHT, 36-38 INCH CHEST, RUDDY COMPLEXION, BROWN EYES, DARK BROWN HAIR.
HE ENLISTED IN BEVERLEY, ON 07/09/1914. SERVED AS PRIVATE, 12039, 7TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. DISCHARGED AS UNFIT (BAD TOES). HE DIED IN HULL IN 1918, AGED 31.
HIS BROTHER, PATRICK MCLOUGHLIN, WAS KILLED IN 1916. HIS OTHER BROTHER, JOHN MCLOUGHLIN, DIED OF WOUNDS IN 1918. THEY LEFT AN ELDER SISTER, MARGARET ELLEN IBOTTSON AND BROTHER HENRY WHO SERVED WITH THE 2ND NORTH STAFFS REGIMENT, IN INDIA.
