Born Hull 1869. Son of George and Annie Middleton, of 13 Wentworth Street, Hull; Husband of the late Catherine Middleton, of 20 Boxwood Avenue, Lee Smith Street, Hull and this address. Before the war he worked as a dock labourer and lived with his wife and five children at 33 Bourne Street. He enlisted in the 4th EYR and was stationed at Londesborough Barracks. His death was reported in the Hull Daily Mail on the 7th August 1915. He fwas returning home on leave when he fell on his doorstep and banged his head. He was taken unconscious. to the Hull Royal Infirmary, at 9.45am, on the 3rd August. He died at 4.45pm on the 5th August of apoplexy. A jury returned the verdict of “Death by Natural causes.” Thomas Middleton was 46 years old and buried at Hedon Road cemetery. His grave inscription, reads, “At Rest”. His death was reported in the Hull Daily Mail, on 27/05/1915.
