SERVED AS FIRST MATE, ON THE STEAM SHIP, “ANTINOE”. DROWNED DURING A SUBMARINE ATTACK ON 28/05/1917, AGED 41. HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE TOWER HILL NAVAL MEMORIAL. HE LEFT A WIDOW AND THREE CHILDREN.
