Jan Lettens 13/08/2010 On October 20th, 1917, the British steamer SS Colorado, on a voyage from Hull to Alexandria with a cargo of coal & coke, was sunk by the German submarine UB-31 (Thomas Bieber), 1.5 miles east of Start Point. 4 persons were killed. Allen Tony 21/08/2007 Colorado was a 7,165grt, defensively-armed British Merchant Ship.
