Born Grimsby, 1899. Resided in Hull. Fourth son of John and Isabella Murray, of 1, Sackville Terrace, Ferries Street, Hull (War Pension address). He had five brothers and one sister.
Enlisted Grimsby. Served with the 4th Lincolnshire Regiment. Died on wounds, on 20/04/1918, aged 18. Buried in Erquinghem, France.
His army effects were left to his father, John.
His elder brother, Private, Robert Edward Murray, Machine Gun Corps, was killed in action, at Arras, on 11/04/1917, aged 19.
