A TIME EXPIRED FORMER SOLDIER IN THE 3RD YORKSHIRE REGIMENT AND IN CIVILIAN LIFE, A PAINTER.
HE MARRIED, MABEL SMITH (1891-1929), IN LEEDS, ON 04/03/1910. HIS WIFE, MABEL MUSK AND DAUGHTER ALICE, LIVED 16 BRISTOL STREET, LEEDS, 1, ALMA AVENUE, FOLKESTONE STREET, HULL AND 11, CRYSTAL AVENUE, MASSEY STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). THEY HAD TWO DAUGHTERS.
HE ENLISTED IN LEEDS, ON 06/08/1914, AGED 25 YEARS AND 8 MONTHS. HE ARRIVED IN FRANCE ON 02/10/1915. SERVED WITH THE 2ND YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. HE DIED OF PNEUMONIA, EIGHT DAYS LATER, ON 10/10/1915, AGED 27. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, MABEL.
HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE WW1 MEMORIAL, AT ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH, NEWINGTON, HULL.
