The Hull trawler EARL (H436) was reported missing in the North Sea on 21/1/1916. The Hull trawler EARL (1916), owned by the Great Northern Steam Fishing Company, was on Saturday given up for lost. The vessel which carried a crew of nine, left Hull on 21st January for a voyage to the North Sea fishing grounds.
