HE LIVED IN BARTON. ENLISTED HULL. SERVED IN THE 3RD BATTALION, COLDSTREAM GUARDS. HAD BEEN IN FRANCE FOR 6 MONTHS. DIED OF WOUNDS ON 27/09/1916, AGED 30. HE WAS UNMARRIED AND HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE RETURNED TO HIS FATHER JOHN. HE LEFT SISTERS, LUCY, LILY AND BROTHER JOHN.
