HE LIVED WITH HIS OLDER SISTER MINNIE, AT 29, HEATHCOTE STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS).
WORKED AS A CLEK FOR COMMERCIAL MERCHANTS.
HE ENLISTED IN ‘C’ COY, 7TH EYR. SERVED IN EGYPT AND FRANCE. COMMISSIONED ON 26/06/1917. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 08/11/1917, AGED 27.
HE LEFT £110 IN HIS WILL TO HIS SISTER, MINNIE FRANKLIN, ‘SAVINGS BANK’ THE WEIR, HESSLE AND THIS PROBATE ADDRESS.
HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE WW1 MEMORIAL AT ST JOHNS CHURCH, NEWLAND, CLOUGH ROAD, HULL.
HIS BROTHER PERCY PINCHON OLIVER, DIED IN 1918, AGED 39. HIS OTHER ELDER BROTHER, SYDNEY OLIVER, SERVED IN THE MERCHANT NAVY.
