Born Sigglesthorne, 1891. Son of Stephen Postill (1848-1943) and Lucy Sanders ( 1861-1943). He had two brothers and two sisters. Worked as a farm hand in Goxhill (1911 Census)
Enlisted in Hull. Served with the 1st West Yorkshire Regiment. Killed in action, on 26/08/1917, aged 26. He had married Daisy Ann Clark at Hornsea, on 27/03/1917 and his army effects were left to his young widow.
He is commemorated on the Sigglesthorne ww1 Meemorial, where 75 men served and eleven men died in ww1.
