HE ENLISTED IN HULL. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 6120 EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED AS PRIVATE, 93051, 2ND DURHAM LIGHT INFANTRY. DIED OF GUN SHOT WOUNDS, ON 25/09/1918, AGED 38. BURIED AT BRIE CEMETRY, SOMME, FRANCE.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE MEMORIAM COLUMN, OF THE HULL DAILY MAIL, 03/10/1918.
