BORN HULL 1899. SON OF PETER POULSEN (1857-1902). HIS MOTHER CLARA EMILY PETFIELD LIVED AT 5, BLANCHE GROVE, BRIGHTON STREET, HULL. ONE OF NINE CHILDREN (SIX SISTERS). PRESUMED DROWNED ON 03/01/1916, AGED 16. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 17TH FEBRUARY 1916 WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH. *
HIS BROTHER JOHN WILLIAM POULSEN, WAS ALSO LOST AT SEA, 05/11/1915, AGED 17.
The hull steam trawler MALABAR (H754) left Hull for a fishing trip in the North Sea on 20/12/1915 with 9 crew. She was last seen on January 1916 and posted missing:- lost with nine crew during severe weather.
