Private 240131 Pte Robert Pratt. Born and enlisted at Pocklington, worked with his father as a rabbit catcher, living at 3 Grape Lane. Killed in action on the 27th May 1918 aged 27. Commemorated at Rosieres Communal Cemetery Extension. CWGC gives date of death this day, but more likely March as this cemetery is in the Somme region, in which case he may have been killed during the Battle of St Quentin, part of the final Somme battle.
