BORN HULL 1900. SON OF EDWARD FISHER PRISSICK (1868-1949) & HARRIET ARMSTRONG (1869-1950), OF 44, HOPWOOD STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). BROTHER OF JOHN & HAROLD, AT 44, HOPWOOD STREET, HULL; AND JAMES OF 379, HAWTHORNE AVENUE, HULL. HIS WAS THE FOURTH SON SERVING. BEFORE THE WAR HE WORKED AT THE HUMBER STREET FRUIT MARKET.
HE ENLISTED AT BEVERLEY, IN FEBRUARY 1917. EX DURHAM LIGHT INFANTRY. ARRIVED IN FRANCE ON 14TH AUGUST 1917. TRANSFERRED TO THE 2/4TH YORK AND LANCASTER REGIMENT. HE WAS KILLED IN ACTION, ON 04/11/1918, AGED 18. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH ON 20TH DECEMBER 1918. *
HE IS BURIED AT NEUF-MESNIL COMMUNAL CEMETERY, NORD, FRANCE. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, “MAY HIS REWARD BE AS GREAT AS HIS SACRIFICE”
