HIS BROTHER, DAVID WAS ALSO LOST AT SEA, SERVING ON THE S/S SERBINO 13/06/1916. THEIR DEATHS WERE REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 02/08/1917.
The British cargo/passenger vessel S/S Aaro was sunk on 1st August 1916, by the German submarine U-20 (Walther Schwieger), 25 miles SW of Stavanger. Aaro was on her way from Hull to Christiania. There were 3 casualties.
