BORN HULL 1887. SON OF SOLOMAN & JESSIE MARY ANN PARKER (1860-1939), OF 65 ARUNDEL STREET, HULL. A REGULAR SOLDIER, WHEN WAR BEGAN. HE ARRIVED IN THE FRANCE ON 13/08/1914, WITH THE COLDSTREAM GUARDS, AS PART OF THE BRITISH EXPEDITIONARY FORCE. HE WAS KILLED IN ACTION, AT YPRES, ON 29/10/1914, AGED 25. HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE MENIN GATE MEMORIAL, YPRES. UNMARRIED. HIS WAR PENSION WENTTO HIS FATHER.
HE LEFT SISTER, PAT & BROTHER IN LAW, JACK (MIDDLESBORO), ANOTHER SISTER & WILL, FRED, ARTHUR & JOHN, ALSO BROTHER IN LAWS. HIS DEATH AND PHOTOGRAPH WERE REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 14TH JANUARY 1915. *
