Enlisted at Manchester on 8th Sept 1914. Served in the 11th Lancashire Fusiliers and Labour Corps. Discharged with sickness, on 4th April 1916. Awarded Silver War Badge (No: 72134).

Died on 27 Dec 1924, aged 31.
