BORN HULL NOVEMBER 1899. SON OF MRS F (TAYLOR) OF 51 WORTHING STREET, HULL. HE WAS AN ASSISTANT AT THE MAYPOLE COMPANY, BEVERLEY ROAD BRANCH, HULL. ALSO A VIOLINIST AT THE NATIONAL PICTURE PALACE, BEVERLEY ROAD, HULL. HIS STEP FATHER, MR F.F. TAYLOR, WORKED AT THE GRAPES HOTEL, CHARIOT STREET, HULL AND SERVED IN THE ARMY IN SALONIKA.
GEORGE ROBINSON, ENLISTED HULL. SERVED WITH THE 5TH LONDON RIFLE BRIGADE. HOME ON LEAVE. HE HAD RETURNED TO THE FRONT FOR EIGHT WEEKS, WHEN HE WAS WOUNDED AND DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 12/08/1918, AGED 18. HE WOULD HAVE BEEN 19 YEARS OLD, IN NOVEMBER.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 20/08/1918. *
