BORN HULL 1882. SON OF GEORGE & MARGARET JANE (BOWMAN) RYLETT. HE WAS UNMARRIED AND LIVED WITH HIS PARENTS AT THIS ADDRESS. MEMBER OF THE HULL GARDENER SOCIETY. HE LEFT A BROTHER IN THE 3RD EYR AND ONE SISTER. HE WAS LOST AT SEA WITH SKIPPER, LONGTHORN, FROM NEARBY SELBY STREET. HIS DEATH AND PHOTOGRAPH WERE REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 4TH FEBRUARY 1915. *
On January 8th, 1915, the British trawler CELIA went missing in the North Sea. She was not heard of ever since and was probably sunk by enemy action. 9 crew lost their lives.
