MARRIED TO ETHEL BEATRICE RYLETT. HIS WIFE & TWO CHILDREN, ALBERT BORN 09/01/1914 AND BEATRICE, BORN 02/09/1916, LIVED AT 37, JAMES RECKITT AVENUE, HULL AND 3, MILTON TERRACE, SOUTH BOULEVARD, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). EX RECKITT’S MACHINE WORKER.
ENLISTED HULL. SERVED WITH THE 1/4TH EYR. KILLED IN ACTION ON 14/07/1916, AGED 20. HIS BROTHER, GEORGE RYLETT WAS WOUNDED IN THE RIGHT ARM BY THE SAME SHELL.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 5TH AUGUST 1916 WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH. HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE YPRES MENIN GATE MEMORIAL, BELGIUM. ALSO LISTED ON THE RECKITTS WW1 MEMORIAL, HULL.
HIS BROTHER ALBERT RYLETT, DIED AT SEA 08/01/1915.
