Born Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, 1893. Son of Arthur Sainty (1851-1908) and Clarissa Ann Sainty (1862-1948), of 69, Manchester Street, Hull (War Pension address). He had nine brothers and seven sisters. Was a Professional Soldier when war began (1911 Census).
Enlisted Great Yarmouth. Served with the 1st Essex Regiment. Killed at Gallipoli, on 08/05/1915, aged 21
