BORN HULL 1894. SON OF ABRAHAM & ANNIE SCOTT, OF 22, WILDE STREET, DANSOM LANE, HULL (1911 CENSUS) AND 24, LAKE STREET, HULL (CWGC ADDRESS). ONE OF SEVEN CHILDREN. EMPLOYED AS A BUTCHER.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS A SERGEANT, IN THE 13TH YORKSHIRE HUSSARS. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 13/04/1918, AGED 24. HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE PLOEGSTEERT MEMORIAL, HAINAUT, BELGIUM.

HE LEFT A WIFE, JANE ELIZABETH SCOTT AND TWO CHILDREN AT 12 BRIGHTON TERRACE, CUMBERLAND STREET, HULL AND 5, BRIGHTON TERRACE, OXFORD STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH ON 3RD MAY 1918. *

HIS BROTHER, SERGEANT LLEWELLYN SCOTT, 11TH EAST YORKSHIRE PALS, WAS KILLED ON 29/03/1918, AGED 28, AND LEFT A WIDOW AT 3, HESSLE AVENUE, DANSOM LANE, HULL. THEIR DEATHS WERE REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 15/05/1918. *
