BORN HULL 1899. SON OF JOHN & MARIA SNOWDEN, OF  10 HAYES AVENUE, ELLA STREET, HULL. BROTHER OF JACK BERNARD SNOWDEN, AND SISTERS CECILIA, CORDELLA & RUBY WHO LIVED AT 144 SUMMERGANGS, HULL. HE RESIDED AT 1 WHITWORTH STREET, HOLDERNESS ROAD. HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED WITH THE 7TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT.  KILLED IN ACTION ON 10/10/1918, AGED 19. HE IS BURIED AT MONTAY-NEUVILLY ROAD CEMETERY, MONTAY, NORD, FRANCEUNMARRIED.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER, MARIA.

HIS DEATH & PHOTOGRAPH WERE REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL. HE IS BURIED AT MONTAY-NEUVILLY ROAD CEMETERY, MONTAY.

HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE ST AIDENS CHURCH, WW1 MEMORIAL PLAQUE, SOUTHCOATES AVENUE, HULL.
