Born Leeds, 1895. Son of George William Southam and Eliza Southam, of 54 Tunis Street, Hull (1911 Census) and then 39 Worthing Street, Beverley Road, Hull, in 1915. Hull. He worked for the Hull Corporation Electricity Department. He enlisted into the 12th Rifle Brigade. Sent to France. He died of his wounds on 8 September 1915, aged 19. He is buried in Estaires Communal Cemetery , France.
