HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED WITH THE 1ST BATTALION, COLDSTREAM GUARDS. POSTED TO FRANCE, ON 22/01/1915. KILLED IN ACTION, AT LOOS, ON 28/09/1915, AGED 25. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER, RUTH, WHO WAS A DRESSMAKER.
