HE HAD BEEN SENT TO CANAD AS A BARNADO BOY. HE ENLISTED AT VICTORIA, CANADA, ON 18TH MARCH 1915. SERVED IN THE 3RD CANADIAN PIONEERS. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 21/04/1917, AGED 32. BURIED IN FRANCE.
