Born Hull, 1898. Son of John Edward Tune and Selina Louisa Tune of 9, Spring Terrace, Spring Street, Hull (War Pension address). Son of a Flour Mill Foreman. He had two sisters.
His elder brother John Alfred Tune was a regular army soldier before the war and served in the Royal Field Artillery
He enlisted in Hull. Formerly, Private, 31082, East Yorkshire Regiment. Transferred to the 15th Lancashire Fusiliers. He died of wounds, at Antwerp, on 01/06/1918, aged 19.
