He enlisted in Hull, on 17th Sept 1917. Served with the Training Reserve 85th Bn and 30th Bn. Northumberland Fusiliers.
Died at Hastings, Sussex, of Cerebral-Spinal Meningitis, on 25/01/1918, age 18. Buried at Hull Western Cemetery.
