BORN HULL 1894. SON OF GEORGE (MARBLE MASON) TUTON, OF 204 , BEAN STREET, HULL, 29, HOLDERNESS ROAD AND 87, WORTHING STREET, HULL. ONE OF EIGHT CHILDREN. EMPLOYED AS A SHOP ASSISTANT.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 489, THE HULL PALS, EYR & 31ST DIVISION. TRANSFERRED TO THE 11TH EAST LANCASHIRE REGIMENT. ACCIDENTALLY KILLED, IN ACTION ON THE SOMME. HIS NAME IS COMMEMORATED ON THE THIEPVAL MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.

HE LEFT HIS WILL TO HIS BROTHERS ARTHUR, ALBERT AND FRED AND SISTERS, ESTHER AND ALEY.

HIS WAR PENSION WAS CLAIMED BY HIS SISTER, ALEY FLORENCE TUTON, AT 25, DAY STREET, HULL
HIS PHOTOGRAPH WAS PRINTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL. ON 03/06/1915, AND THE HULL TIMES, ON 05/06/1915. *
