BORN LEYTONSTONE, ESSEX, 1889. SON OF MAJOR, WILLIAM SNOWBALL WALKER (1862-1930) OF THE 1/5TH EYR, & EDITH SARAH BEDFORD (1863-1933), OF 34 WESTBOURNE AVENUE, HULL. HE HAD ONE BROTHER LESLIE BEDFORD AND ONE SISTER, MARGARET ISOBEL. HE WAS AN ARCHITECT’S ASSISTANT, (1911 CENSUS)
SERVED AS CAPTAIN IN THE 1/5TH YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. WOUNDED AT YPRES. HE DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 26/01/1916, AGED 26, AT THE 10TH CASUALTY CLEARING STATION.
HE LEFT £282 IN HIS WILL TO HIS FATHER, WILLIAM SNOWBALL WALKER AT 34, WESTBOURNE AVENUE, HULL (PROBATE ADDRESS).
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH ON 4TH FEBRUARY 1916.
HE IS LISTED ON THE HULL TECHNICAL COLLEGE ROLL OF HONOUR, PARK STREET, HULL, WITH HIS BROTHER CAPTAIN, LESLIE WALKER, ALSO OF THE 4TH YORKSHIRE REGIMENT, KILLED IN ACTION, ON 01/07/1917, AGED 26.
